“A record of 1100 delegates from all over the world attended the 2023 conference. 508 Abstracts were submitted of which 204 were accepted for Full Papers and over 100 posters. The conference consisted of a two day pre-conference workshop and three days of conference, which consisted of plenary sessions and six parallel breakaways sessions and two technical tours on the sixth day. All sessions ran smoothly and on time, without a single glitch being experienced. The delegates were all very happy with the conference, with many remarking how impressed they are that such a big conference proceeded without any glitches. Another important aspect was the financial management of the conference finances. Prestige Conferences managed the flow of funds for the conference, which included invoicing and receiving payments for registrations fees, exhibition fees and from Sponsors. They also processed payment to all service providers. Despite the fact that payments were received in different currencies and payments to service providers were made form South Africa to Brazil, everything was well managed, and all finances accounted for, with regular financial reports provided.
